Jesus is accused by His family and by the teachers of the law (3:20–35). He then tells the parable of the sower (4:1–20), followed by the teaching about a lamp on a stand (4:21–25). Jesus describes the parable of the growing seed (4:26–29) and the parable of the mustard seed (4:30–34). Finally, He calms the storm, revealing His authority over wind and waves (4:35–41).
