My Last Day - Libyan Arabic
In a beautifully animated style, a prisoner watches Jesus being flogged in the courtyard of Pontius Pilate. He remembers Jesus teaching and wonders why an innocent man is being hurt. Horrified, he recalls his own crime. The crowd in the courtyard shouts for Jesus to be crucified. The thief, another man, and Jesus are forced to carry the beams for their crosses and are marched toward Golgotha. When they arrive, nails are driven into their wrists, and each man is hung on a cross, their feet nailed to a wooden support. Our thief admits that Jesus is the Messiah and asks Jesus to remember him. Jesus promises that they will be together in paradise that very day. A dark storm engulfs the hill, and Jesus dies. The thief dies with a final gasp and sees Jesus in a beautiful place.
